School hours
The school is open every weekday from 8 a.m. Classes begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 1:40 p.m. for grades 1-4, and at 2:10 p.m. for grades 5 and 6.

The school office is open from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, except Fridays, when it closes at 3 p.m.

Snacks
Laugarnesskóli is a health-promoting school, and students are encouraged to bring healthy, nutritious lunches.
Sports
Students wear standard swimwear in swimming classes. Students wear standard athletic clothing in physical education classes.

Laugarnesskóli is a phone-free school. Mobile devices are not permitted in classrooms or hallways.
Absence notifications
Parents or immediate family must report absences due to illness before classes begin, either through Mentor or by calling the school office at 411-7444. Leave requests must be submitted through Mentor.
